I Jacob Lentz of the County of Johnson and State of Illinois being mindful of my Mortality do this twenty Eighth day of October in year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and sixty nine Do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner as follows.
First. I desire to be decently and privately buried in the Grave yard Called the Crider grave yard by the Side of my beloved wife without any funeral Pomp and with as little Expence as may be. Also I give and bequeath unto my two Daughters to wit: Lydia Ann Lentz and Janey Ann Lentz all my household and kitchen furniture including Beds and Bed Cloths, furniture, backing unensils and my horse(?), my yoke(?) & oxen and wagon and all my farming tools, my cow and calf and all my hogs and all other personal property that I may or shall own at my death not herein mentioned and specified Except my land.
Second. It is my will that my funeral Expences be paid out of the money I shall have on hand at my death.
Third. I hereby Constitute and appoint my worthy friend Mr. Calvin Corbet of Vienna Said County to be Executor of this my last will and testament and hereby Enjoin upon the duty of Carieing this my last will and testament into Effect.
In Testimony whereof I hereto Subscribe my name and affix my private Seal and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below this the twenty Eighth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and sixty nine.

The foregoing or above instrument Consisitng of one Sheet of Legal *** paper was now here Subscribed by Jacob Lentz the testator in the presence of Each of us and was at same time declared by him to be his last will and testament and we at his request Sign our names thereto as attesting witnesses.
